You have an incorrect setting in the N1MM+ Configurer under the Mode Control tab. If this window does not appear, either MMTTY is not starting successfully or the MMTTY window is off the screen. It is smaller than the stand-alone MMTTY window because there are parts of the stand-alone window that are not needed when MMTTY is run from N1MM+. The smaller window with the tuning indicators (waterfall, spectrum, maybe an X-Y display, maybe some controls) is the MMTTY window. It appears in digital modes regardless of whether you are using MMTTY or some other digital interface (a TNC, MMTTY, fldigi, 2Tone, whatever.). That larger window is not an MMTTY window, it is the N1MM+ Digital Interface window. If it does, you must create a copy of the MMTTY folder that is outside the 'Program Files' paths and set the 'MMTTY Path' in the N1MM+ Configurer to point to this copy of MMTTY. This must NOT contain 'Program Files' or 'Program Files (x86)'. In the N1MM+ Configurer, under the 'Digital Modes' tab, look for the 'MMTTY Path'.

There are some situations where the N1MM+ program needs to install a driver, and needs the right-click 'Run as Administrator' option to be used once, and once only, in order to do the driver installation, but once this driver installation has been done, the program will never need to be run with this option again. See, and note carefully that there are two locations for the install, one for the program itself, and one for the user files. If the path does contain 'Program Files' or 'Program Files (x86)', the program was installed incorrectly. If this path does not include the words 'Program Files' anywhere in it, then you should NOT check the 'Run as Administrator' check box in the shortcut (icon) for N1MM+.

In the Address Bar near the top, you should see the path to your user files directory, e.g.

This will open a File Explorer window on your N1MM+ user files directory.

In N1MM+, use the 'Help > Open Explorer on User Files Directory' menu item. If it is from N1MM+, it might be a one-time-only step to complete the installation to install a hardware driver. It is not clear from your description whether the message about making changes is being triggered by N1MM+ or by MMTTY. I am confused and could use some guidance. When I mouse over the MMTTY icon in the task-bar it show a blank white box of the correct shape of what should be be RTTY Engine 1.

When I mouse over the N1MM icon in the task-bar it shows miniature pix of the Entry Window & the Soundcard DI 1 window 6. N1MM (or the MMTTY engine) then sends a signal to the K3s which causes the Mode to switch from AFSK A 45 bps to FSK D 45 bps. The smaller window RTTY Engine 1 does NOT appear. When I select the Digital Interface from the Window drop-dwon in the Entry Window the larger MMTTY window comes up just fine 3585.0 DI-1 RTTY Mode - Soundcard (MMTTY) 3. I do not have that on MY installation (and it works fine) 2. I installed and added 'Run as Administrator' checked so now it asks me each time.

When I start N1MM I get the pop-up window asking me if I want to allow the software to make changes to the PC. He wanted to have just a single cable to go between his pc and the K3s.He must have seen the rat's nest of wiring behind my K3,KAT/KPA500, Microham MK-II, etc I have MMTTY working in fine in Standalone, TX/RX is FB between my rig and the his across the room in my shop, but am singing the blues over a couple of things getting N1MMLogger+, MMTTY and the K3s to function together. I am trying to setup a new(used) K3s for a buddy.
